The K12 Zone: Where Heron Students Connect and Learn 

At Heron Virtual Academy, we believe that students thrive when they feel connected. That’s why we’re proud to offer the K12 Zone – a safe, interactive online environment where students can socialize, play, and build essential skills. 

The K12 Zone has been designed to give Heron students opportunities to participate in fun activities that also support their lessons. Students can work together, make new friends, and enjoy the social side of school life – all within a secure virtual space. 

The K12 Zone is able to help students feel like part of a community. Families at Heron often share how important it is for their children to have opportunities for social connection alongside their class work. The Zone creates those opportunities, helping students practice communication, teamwork, and leadership in a fun and supportive setting. 

For teachers, the Zone provides a way to extend connection with the students beyond the classroom. It encourages students to explore, take risks, and build confidence while collaborating with others. It also reinforces Heron’s mission of supporting the whole student – academically, socially, and emotionally.
