Welcome to Heron Virtual Academy of South Carolina!
At Heron Virtual Academy of South Carolina (HVASC), we are dedicated to providing a supportive and personalized learning experience for students in grades 8-12 who have faced challenges in traditional school settings.
Since 2023, we have helped students reach their full potential through flexible, engaging education. We partner with families to ensure every child has the support they need to succeed—academically, socially, and emotionally. As part of the Charter Institute at Erskine, we take pride in offering an individualized curriculum designed to meet the needs of today’s learners.
Unlike traditional schools, HVASC offers an asynchronous learning model, allowing students to complete coursework at their own pace, accommodating work schedules, family responsibilities, or personal challenges. As the only alternative virtual school in South Carolina, HVASC serves students who may be off track due to poverty, expulsion, homelessness, or other life circumstances, providing them with the resources and structure needed to succeed.
