Letter From Our Executive Director

Dear Students and Learning Coaches,

At HVA, our belief is that all students should have the opportunity to learn in an environment that best supports their needs and encourages each student to meet their full potential. The HVA Administration, Faculty, and Staff are committed to creating a learning environment that supports growth, confidence, and a love of learning for each student enrolled at Heron Academy. We are confident in the ability of our students to rise to any challenge they may face, and we believe each student can find a path that will lead to success while enrolled here at Heron Academy.

The purpose of this handbook is to inform you of all HVA policies and guidelines. Understanding the expectations for students and learning coaches will help ensure a successful school year at HVA. I encourage all students and learning coaches to read this handbook and discuss each section thoroughly.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to any HVA staff member with questions you may have. Our teachers, administration, and staff are committed to providing a high-quality education for each student through individualized student support and a strong,collaborative relationship with students and learning coaches. Our hope is that you will find success this school year and it will be your best year yet!
